Frequently Asked Questions:
How far in advance should I book?
If you have your heart set on a particular artist, I highly recommend booking as early as possible. Popular dates, especially during peak wedding seasons, can book out 12–24 months in advance, so securing your date sooner rather than later is always best.
Do you do destination weddings?
Absolutely! I offer services for rural, interstate, and international weddings. When submitting your enquiry, please include as much detail as possible so I can provide an accurate and tailored quote.
Do I need to have a trial?
Trials are completely optional, but highly recommended. A trial allows us to collaborate, refine your vision, and ensure you feel confident and excited about your look. Often, clients arrive with one idea in mind and discover something even better after consultation and experimentation..
What should I do before a trial?
Great skin is the best foundation for long lasting makeup, so starting a solid skincare routine ahead of your event is highly encouraged. If you’d like recommendations for facials or professional skin advice, I’m always happy to help.
For your makeup trial, please arrive with a clean, freshly moisturised face.
For your hair trial, wash your hair the night before, shampoo twice and condition the ends only. Blow-dry your hair roughly straight and avoid using a hair straightener.
Do I need to wear more makeup or change my hair just because it’s my wedding?
Not at all! This is a common myth. The most important thing is that you feel like you. Whether you prefer a polished everyday look or something more elevated, my role is to enhance your natural beauty and ensure you feel confident, comfortable, and radiant.
How many looks can I try at the trial?
Each trial is allocated time and cost for one complete look. Minor tweaks such as a lip colour change or subtle eye adjustment are absolutely fine. If you’d like to explore a completely different look, this will need to be booked as an additional trial session.
What products do you use and will the makeup last all day?
I use only professional, luxury products selected for their finish, longevity, and performance. My kit features high end brands including Giorgio Armani, Tom Ford, Chanel, Chantecaille, NARS, Hourglass, Kevyn Aucoin, BECCA, MAC, By Terry, and Oribe.
If you have any allergies or sensitivities, please let me know prior to your appointment.
Can I provide my own lashes?
Complimentary lashes are included with all makeup applications. I prefer to use my own lashes and adhesive, as I know how they wear and photograph.
Do you offer discounted pricing for mothers of the bride/groom or simple looks?
I don’t offer discounted pricing, as ‘natural’ makeup and hair often take just as much time and expertise as more dramatic looks. However, if hair is very short, please feel free to chat with me I may be able to offer a reduced rate.
Are your prices negotiable?
My pricing is fixed and reflects over 20 years of experience in bridal and event makeup artistry. Thank you for understanding and respecting the value of my work.
